Reef Retreat Resort is a brand new Deluxe resort, with 10 rooms and 2 suites, nestled in tropical gardens on Bulabog Beach. Reef Retreat is built and run by a British windsurfer and his wife, Matthew and Clair. They have managed to combine accessibility to the beach without compromising comfort and have incorporated luxury with a native edge. The rooms are a choice of either double or twin and all have garden views and some sea views. The rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar, hot/ cold shower, wifi, cable TV and a private balcony/veranda. Home made breakfast is also included.
Reef Retreat is a stones throw away from the windsurfing and kite boarding beach of Bulabog, which is renowned in Asia as a top windsurfing/ kite boarding spot and hosts the annual Asian Funboard Cup competition. Reef Retreat is ideally located with a windsurfing school and kitesurfing school already on site!; you can literally get out of bed and into your foot straps. Matt and Clair can also help to arrange rental of windsurfing/ kite boarding equipment or arrange for lessons and courses.
For those non board riders or on non windy days, you can relax on your veranda or swing in a hammock in the garden. White beach and the many bars and restaurants are an easy 7 minute walk away.

Description |
Boracay is a small bone shaped tropical island located approximately 200km south east of Manila, just off the North West tip of the neighbouring island of Panay in the visayas group of islands. It is approximately 8km long x 2 km wide with a 4km long white sand beach known as white sand beach. The windsurfing and kiteboarding is mainly from the opposite beach (also white sand) called Bulabog.
Other Island Activities
For those non board riders or on non windy days, you can relax on your veranda or swing in a hammock in the garden of the resort. White beach and the many bars and restaurants are only a 7 minute walk away. The island has over 30 dive sites and many others available on neighbouring islands. Boracay has numerous beaches to explore, a golf course, Fishing, sailing, Spa treatments, Mountain biking, Quad biking/buggy, Helicopter tour, Horse riding, Skim boarding, Wakeboarding, Water skiing, Yoga, Kayaking / Canoeing, Massage, Gymnasium & a Butterfly farm to name but a few.
Getting There
The main entry to Boracay is to fly to Manila and then take a short (35mins) domestic flight to Caticlan airport (on the island of Panay) where it is then a 5 - 10 min boat trip across to Boracay Island. The main domestic airlines are Asian Spirit (www.asianspirit.com), Sea Air (www.flyseair.com) and Cebu Pacific (www.cebupacificair.com ) who has somewhere around 30 flights a day from Manila to Caticlan. |
